Well, here it is. Almost everything you want to know about the 2009, 12 Hours of Nelson. We had to cut back to a 12 hour as most of the tea ms last year had a hard time coming up with team members.

The following information is just a rough idea what the Supps will be and in no way should it be considered Supps and is just for general information.

First and most important, entry fee will be a LOW $ 500 per car. The intent fee of $100 will be applied to the entry fee. The balance of $400 will be due with the entry form and will be due at the date specified by the Supps. We hope with this economy, this will help more teams to enter.

Next and also important is no driver limit. The only limit will be on team size. The whole crew can be drivers as long as they are properly license and credentialed

While on drivers, a driver can drive more then one car on a team (or should that be any other team) as long as he does not exceed his/her allowed driving time. If the Supps say he/she can drive 4 hours, he/she can put 2 hours in one car and 2 hours in another. A Driver’s log must be kept and will be checked.

The 12 Hour is tentatively schedule to start at 10 AM, and finish at 10 PM with awards at 11 PM. More on the schedule with the Supps.

In addition to the 12Hr., we will be running a multi-race regional on Sunday with a special twist soon to be announced! The regional races will be open to all the standard SCCA regional classes. If your drivers have not had enough racing, they can bring their cars along for the regional on Sunday.

We can tell you more officially after the Supps have been approved for both the 12 hour and the regional.

Intent to Run

The first 40 Intent To Enter received will have a place on the grid. 41 through 50 will be on a waiting list or at the promoter’s discretion. Each car entered must have its own Intent form on file. In simple terms, a team with 2 cars must have 2 intents on file. You may send one check if you wish. Checks will be held until Aug. 1st. or a written withdraw has been received.
In appreciation for your support of endurance racing at Nelson and in consideration of the economic times, we have cut the entry fees for the 12Hr. and the possible associated regional in HALF! The entry fee for the 12Hr. will be $500.00 for 2009!

Intent to Run Fee: $100 (Intent to Run Fee is fully refundable in 2009 at anytime up until the entry cut off date as set in the Supps. No entry, no written with draw, no refund.)
