how many nationals can we run and still qualify for a regional championship?

not sure if this should be racing or general discussion but here goes.
i remember something regarding there being a maximum number of national races or points that can be accrued before one is not eligible for a regional championship.
does anyone have any details for this? and does it matter if it involves two different classes, one for the national races vs. one for the regional races?
tia, tom
good to see the new site and forum up and running, btw!

RCS
The 2006 rules say that you can't qualify for the Runoffs or collect 13 national points. We don not have 2007 rules yet. As for the two classes, that shopuldn't matter. Run a full out Runoffs campaign in HP and then run regionals in GP....sounds cool to me. No conflict there.
From the 2006 rules, the following text applies:
"3. Eligibility; Section C. Drivers holding a Novice Permit or higher license whose region of record is in
Central Division shall be eligible for Great Lakes Division trophies. Drivers who
qualify for the runoffs shall not be eligible for Regional championships. Drivers
who earn more than 13 National points shall not be eligible for Regional
championships."
Dave Brown (spdmonkey@aol.com) is now the RCS chairman and can address your concerns. For what its worth, I'm on the committee and we did not discuss changing this rule.
